ROWENTA® Continues Premiere Sponsorship of Lifetime’s “Project Runway”
Global Garment Care Leader Supports Hit Fashion Competition Reality Show

New York, NY (July, 2012) - Rowenta, the leading manufacturer of high-performance steam irons and garment steamers, announces its involvement with the 10th season of Lifetime’s hit fashion reality series, “Project Runway”. This will be the 3rd season that Rowenta has been a sponsor of the show, which is hosted by fashion icon Tim Gunn and judged by supermodel Heidi Klum, fashion editor Nina Garcia and top American designer Michael Kors.

Products featured on the show will include both the DG5030 Pro Iron Steam Station, an innovative product that has the capabilities of both a traditional steamer and iron and the IS9100 Precision Valet steamer, a traditional-style steamer that provides the power and speed of professional steaming at home. These Rowenta products will play instrumental roles in the creation and execution of the contestants’ designs.

As a direct result of Rowenta’s sponsorship, the company formed a partnership with “Project Runway” season six contestant and runner up, Althea Harper. Harper now serves as a Rowenta Brand ambassador, using the products to aid in the creation of her fashion line, ALTHEA HARPER. Harper engages fans of both Rowenta and fashion via various social media platforms and shares insight on using Rowenta garment care products to enhance and modify apparel.

The 10th season of “Project Runway” premiered on Thursday, July 19, 2012 on Lifetime and features sixteen new aspiring designers who are competing in New York City for the opportunity to showcase their lines at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week this fall.

Harper serves as Rowenta’s official Brand Ambassador in the realm of fashion design, offering a unique perspective on proper garment care maintenance, wardrobe design and key fashion trends. Jenni Radosevich, critically acclaimed Blogger, Author and Contributor for InStyle, is an expert at teaching others how to recreate expensive runway looks and luxury home décor items at a fraction of the cost – with the added satisfaction of doing it yourself. She recently published, I SPY DIY STYLE (Potter Craft/Crown Publishing), an encyclopedia in trendy homemade fashions.
